Competition Teaches Students About Maine’s Environment

Learn more about Maine Envirothon at http://www.maineenvirothon.org.

Maine Envirothon is an annual environmental sustainability competition where high school students team up to test their knowledge of natural resources and environmental issues. Teams compete head-to-head at regional and state levels by solving hands-on problems in environmental categories, including wildlife, aquatics, forestry, soils and sustainable agriculture. Plum Creek is not only a sponsor of the event, but its staff volunteers annually to help prepare students for the competition by teaching them about silviculture, working forests and sustainable forest management.
